Imagine Justice Tennessee is proud to announce the 2025 winners of the inaugural statewide student expression contest focused on racial and social justice.
A committee of Tennessee public school educators reviewed entries submitted by students from across Tennessee, selecting the 2025 Imagine Justice Tennessee contest winners:
Abilgail Redd, a student at Daniel Boone High School in Washington County
Brennan Antonuk, a student at Arlington High School in Shelby County
In recognition of their achievements, Tennessee Education Association President Tanya T. Coats visited both students to congratulate them on their awards and to celebrate their accomplishments.
“Abilgail and Brennan exemplify the creativity, civic awareness and critical thinking that Imagine Justice Tennessee strives to encourage among students across our great state,” said Coats. “Their work reflects the importance of engaging young people in conversations about justice, fairness, and the role they play in building strong schools, strong communities, and a stronger Tennessee.”
Imagine Justice Tennessee’s annual contest highlights student voices from across Tennessee, encouraging students from public schools across the state to use their creativity in expressing what racial and social justice means to them.
“This year’s winners demonstrate the program’s statewide reach and its impact in communities from Mountain City to Memphis,” Coats said.
